The market for classic Porsches is perhaps hotter than ever, with prices of vintage 911s, 928s, and even 944s skyrocketing in recent years. But the company is betting that even fans of its older models will appreciate some modern touches.

Porsche is introducing a pair of new infotainment systems that will allow owners of Porsches from the 1960s to the early 2000s to retrofit their cars with modern tech features like a touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, an SD-card slot, and USB ports. The new head units, called “Porsche Classic Communication Management,” also receive digital radio stations.

Owners of older cars are always able to swap out the factory head unit in their car for an aftermarket infotainment system, but Porsche’s newly available systems sport the company’s logo and blend seamlessly into older dashboards, the company said.

One PCCM version – compatible with Porsches from the 1960s through the early 1990s – has rotary knobs, push buttons, and a modest, 3.5-inch touchscreen display. The PCCM Plus option, built for newer models from 1997 to 2005, comes with a seven-inch touchscreen.

At current exchange rates, the new infotainment systems will run you roughly $1,550 for the standard version and $1,730 for the Plus option.
